Hosting a Bridge Table
What is involved with hosting a bridge table on Bridge Base Online (BBO). What duties does a table host have? What can a table do and what should a table host not do? How can I access the table host tools? How did I get to be a table host, since I was just playing here? These are all frequently asked questions on BBO.Table host duties
A table host on BBO has control over all aspects of their table. These include whether or not kibitzers can attend a table, and whether or not they can chat with players at the table. The table host can determine if players need permission to play. The table host can decide to have GIB robots play if a seat becomes vacant. And the table host can remove stuck players. A table host can even choose to use specific boards, or random hands.See our help files under the Casual Play section of the help files index for details on how to set up your own table.

Common sense and manners for a table host will make sure your table is fun and friendly for all players. Booting players from your table is tracked by the BBO server and excessive booting can result in a player being restricted from hosting tables.Table option tools
If you find yourself as a table host when formerly you were playing at the table, you need to know how to take care of any problems that arise at your table, and how to change anything you want to modify.Click the blue Table button on the bottom left hand corner of the BBO window, above the chat window.
This brings up the Table options window which allows you to change most things at your table, with the exception of the Scoring type and the club in which the table is set up. To change either of those two things, you need to close the table start over.
